  • 9:15 am ET:  Welcome and Conference Overview by Police Chief Gordon L. Wiborg, Jr. (ret.), President - Executive Committee Board of Directors of NJCDLP, and President – National Strategy and Management Board of the National Forum On Judicial Accountability;

  • 9:25 am ET:  Introduction to the United Nations Association (UNA)

  • 9:45 am ET:  The ICCPR, its First Optional Protocol, and the U.N. Human Rights bodies by Zena D. Crenshaw-Logal, J.D. and  Tatiana Neroni, J.D.  Mrs. Neroni holds her Juris Doctor from the Albany Law School.  She is an author of a book on defense of parents against social services in New York State Family Courts.  Her book on the impact of attorney regulation in the U.S. upon access to justice for all Americans is planned to come out early next year.  At this time, Mrs. Neroni is concentrated on scholarly work, and her research deals with access to justice in the United States, and impediments to such access.  She is also doing comparative research of access to justice in the U.S. and countries that allow their residents access to international forums to deal with civil rights grievances that occurred within the country, such as the U.N. Council for Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights.;

  • 10:20 am ET:  Why International Human Rights Treaty Enforcement? by Zena D. Crenshaw-Logal, J.D., Co-founder, Executive Committee Board Member, and Executive Director of NJCDLP; Opt IN USA Co-Administrator; and Executive Committee Member representing NJCDLP on the United Nations Association of the United States of America, Council of Organizations (UNA-USA, COO); and Ira Scott, Social Emotional Life Coach, Neuro-Linguistic Programming ®, Neo-Ericksonian Hypnosis, The Havening Techniques ® Trainer, Co-Author, Speaker at Lean Into Life, and member of the National Strategy and Management Board (NSMB), an administrative arm of the grassroots nonprofit initiative known as the National Forum On Judicial Accountability;  

  • 11:45 am ET:  Lunch

  • 1:00 pm ET:  America's foster care to homelessness/human trafficking/prison/solitary confinement pipeline:  A Human Rights Crisis - presented by Dr. Kalyani Gopal of SAFE Coalition for Human Rights.  Additional panel presenters tba;

  • 2:25 pm ET:  The Public Health Toll of Inadequate Human Rights Protection in America by Professor Shreya Mandal, JD, LCSW;

  • 4:00 pm ET:  Hard Sell: Allegedly Oppressed, Otherwise Privileged Citizens of Western Countries by Janet Phelan.  Ms. Phelan was educated at Grinnell College, UC Berkeley, and University of Missouri-Columbia Graduate School of Journalism.  She is a journalist and former radio talk show host and author of three books, including the controversial expose, EXILE.  Phelan chairs the non-governmental organization ITHACA, which has engaged the United Nations (UN) on multiple issues and has to date filed reports with the Universal Periodic Review of the Human Rights Record of the U.S., a report to the Special Rapporteur on Torture concerning guardianship abuse in the U.S., and has testified at the UN’s Biological Weapons Convention (BWC).  ITHACA is currently working on a further report for the BWC.
