“(O)ppression is making a comeback.” ~ Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, outgoing U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Opt IN USA is a grassroots U.S. foreign policy reform, judicial accountability, and human rights campaign under the nonprofit corporate umbrella of National Judicial Conduct and Disability Law Project, Inc. (NJCDLP).

May 30, 2018 marked the second-year of Opt IN USA commencing its speaker series titled, “SEEKING JUSTICE BEYOND OUR SHORES: The Case for U.S. Ratification of the First Optional Protocol to the ICCPR (International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights).  Headquarters for Opt IN USA and NJCDLP has since moved from Northwest Indiana to Atlanta, Georgia.  Opt IN USA administrators also resolved to change the “case” for U.S. ratification of the First Optional Protocol to the ICCPR to include new perspectives as well as address the “deterrent effect” and First Amendment protections needed to best ensure U.S. court officers are consistent champions of human rights per a recently circulated publication by the Centre for the Independence of Judges & Lawyers, International Commission of Jurists.
